CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The Leisure Institute of Western Australia invite industry professionals, experts, and thought leaders to submit abstracts for presentation at the 2025 WA Aquatic & Recreation State Conference. This premier event brings together key stakeholders from across the industry including over 130 facilities and their teams to share insights, innovations, and best practices that shape the future of aquatic and recreation management.
This year’s conference will focus on the critical issues, emerging trends, and innovative solutions within the aquatic and recreation sectors. Our industry have identified many high priority topics and prefence will be given to abstracts that respond to the key subject areas identified below.
TOPICS
RECREATION & FACILITY MANAGEMENT
- Strategies to improve cost management and optimise facility revenue.

SWIM SCHOOL

- Leadership in the industry - How to be an effective leader in the swim industry.
- Delivery of training sessions - How to run effective and engaging sessions for all levels of experience.
- Hearing from other successful swim schools, how are they running their programs.
- Managing different abilities in classes.

- Sign language - teaching basic knowledge that will be useful in swim lessons.
