This award recognises innovative and effective management practices to achieve excellence in swim school operations. This award focuses on programming, human resources, customer service, risk management, community involvement, training and professional development, industry engagement and partnerships. This Award is open to both public and private swim schools.
Essential Criteria
- Swim School must be operating as or within a Group 1 or Group 2 Facility in WA.
Award Criteria
- Your Impact - Community impact/scope/reach
- Provide details on what community impacts does your swim school deliver, what is the scope of your program and what is your reach, who are you servicing?
- Your Team - People Investment
- Provide details on what you are doing to invest in yourself and your staff (are you engaging in industry conferences, and industry online and face to face PD's What else are you doing to invest in professional development)
- Involvement - Contribution to Industry
- Provide details on how you are contributing to the aquatic recreation industry (LTS data sharing, state/national committee contributions, state of industry report etc)
- Innovation
- Are you doing something differently that is innovative? Provide details of ways your Swim School is being innovative in the delivery of your programs or running of your facility.
- Identifying the Needs - Helping those most at risk/addressing local issues.
- Provide details on how your swim school addresses local issues, identifying those most at risk and what you are doing to assist those identified.
As an optional addition to your nomination, you’re welcome to submit a short video (under one minute) explaining why your nominee deserves to win.
