This Award recognises demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of aquatic health and safety outcomes through the creation and continuation of an outstanding safety culture. Outstanding safety culture is created through leadership, implementation of best practices, workforce engagement and training; and reinforced across the organisation using the following:
- robust safety systems with cooperation and collaboration at all stages of the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
- demonstrated behaviour and workforce engagement.
- symbols such as recognition programs, awareness campaigns, risk management and excellence in safety audit assessments.
Essential Criteria
- Must have had a safety audit completed within the past 4 years

- Your Safety Systems
- Training and ongoing Professional Development
- How are you Promoting and Educating a safe workplace/environment?
- How are you implementing an Outstanding Safety Culture (this includes staff, contractors, volunteers, patrons and the community)
- Safety audit Improvements (implemented or in current development)
As an optional addition to your nomination, you’re welcome to submit a short video (under one minute) explaining why your nominee deserves to win.
