The WA Aquatic Recreation Industry Awards is an initiative of the Peak Body Leisure Institute of Western Australia (Aquatics) and aim to recognise individuals and teams who show innovation and best practice in the WA Aquatic Recreation Industry.
The awards are designed to highlight and award excellence of Individuals within the aquatic recreation industry, Aquatic Facilities, their staff and organisations and provide an opportunity to formally recognize their commitment to improving aquatic recreation communities, programs, facility operations, management and safety.
The awards provide a powerful motivation tool to encourage ongoing professional development for individuals, and organisations & building community engagement.
INDIVIDUAL AWARD CATEGORIES
- Pool Lifeguard of the year
- Swim Teacher of the year
- Aquatic Technical Operator of the year (Metro & Regional)
- Emerging Leader of the year (18 - 30 years)
*LIWA Aquatics Industry Service Awards are presented to long-service award recipients (no nominations required)
*The Smith Robertson award recipient will be selected by the awards panel
