LIWA Aquatics, the peak industry body representing aquatic recreation across Western Australia, is seeking an inspiring and dynamic leader to step into the role of Executive Officer. About LIWA Aquatics

For over 50 years, LIWA Aquatics (Leisure Institute of Western Australia Aquatics) has been a trusted advocate for the aquatic recreation industry, providing leadership, professional development, and essential resources to industry professionals. Through our training programs, networking events, and accreditation initiatives, we ensure that aquatic facilities across Western Australia operate at the highest possible standards.
As a key voice in the industry, LIWA collaborates with government agencies, industry partners, and facility managers to improve safety regulations, sustainability practices, and professional training. Our mission is clear: to support the growth of the aquatic sector while ensuring that communities across WA have access to high-quality, well-managed aquatic facilities.

The Role: Executive Officer

The Executive Officer is a pivotal leadership position within LIWA, working closely with the Board to implement strategic initiatives, support members, and drive industry advocacy. This role requires a visionary leader who can engage with stakeholders, manage key events, and ensure the continued growth and sustainability of LIWA Aquatics.

Key responsibilities include:
•    Strategic Leadership – Develop and implement long-term goals that align with LIWA’s mission and industry needs.
•    Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with members, industry partners, government agencies, and key stakeholders.
•    Event & Program Oversight – Plan and execute LIWA’s major events, including the WA Aquatic Recreation Conference & Trade Show, workshops, and training sessions.
•    Industry Advocacy – Represent LIWA at industry forums, advocating for policies and practices that benefit aquatic professionals.
•    Membership Growth & Support – Drive membership engagement and expand professional development opportunities for industry professionals.
•    Financial & Operational Management – Oversee budgets, secure funding opportunities, and ensure sustainable growth.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and strong communicator, with experience in management, stakeholder engagement, and industry development. You should be passionate about aquatic recreation, safety, and professional training, with a proven track record of leadership in a related field.
