The Leisure Institute of Western Australia (LIWA) is pleased to announce that the Call for Abstracts is now open for the 2025 WA Aquatic & Recreation Conference, scheduled for 7–8 August 2025 at the Perth Exhibition & Convention Centre.

The conference is WA’s premier event for professionals working in aquatic, recreation, and sport facility management. With over 400 delegates expected from 130+ facilities, it’s the perfect opportunity to present your expertise and contribute to shaping the future of our industry.

This year, we’re introducing four tailored streams:

• Management
• Operations
• Swim School
• Facility Planning

Content will be directly informed by a recent state-wide industry survey. We're looking for submissions that address key challenges and opportunities in:

• Facility management and technical operations
• Infrastructure planning and future trends
• Community engagement and communication
• Safety, risk and compliance
• Health and public wellbeing
• Workforce development and leadership
• Technology and innovation
• Swim school programming
